Our practice requires current X-Rays in order to make accurate decisions about your care.
A Full-Mouth series of X-Rays (sometimes referred to as an FMX), is usually done at your first visit, and then about every 3-5 years.
"Check-Up" X-Rays are typically done annually, but the frequency is ultimately determined by the status of your teeth. With occasional exceptions, four "bitewings" are done to evaluate the teeth on the sides of your mouth, and two "periapical" X-Rays (PAs) are done to evaluate the front teeth.
X-Rays of individual teeth may be done for specific purposes.
If you are a new patient and have had recent X-Rays (within a year) at another office, you can request them from your previous dentist. They can be e-mailed to stevenadamedds@gmail.com.
Note, however, Dr. Adame may require these be supplemented or repeated if they are not sufficient to fully evaluate your dental status.
